Reporting CLA-Licenced Material on MyAberdeen by May 16
Copyright compliance is very important on MyAberdeen and we must ensure that all teaching materials available on MyAberdeen satisfy the copyright regulations.
With these regulations in mind, we are approaching the time of year when we need to submit our report of CLA licenced material used in MyAberdeen during this academic year. Use of the following materials need to be reported to the Library's Copyright team:
- PDF versions of digital journals which you have uploaded to MyAberdeen
- Scanned copies of chapters or individual sections from print sources (e.g. books, reports etc.)
- Scanned copies of articles from print journals
- Images or illustrations scanned from print sources where these are not covered by Section 32 of the Copyright Designs and Patents Act (Illustration for instruction).
If you have used any of the above materials in your course module, please download a copy of the Digital Copy Record form NEW 2016/2017 and fill in the details of the items used including page numbers and details of the course(s) covered. You may report for multiple courses on the same spreadsheet. The completed spreadsheet should be returned to the copyright team by 16th May 2017.
You will find more information on the CLA licence and the reporting process in the Copyright and the VLE section of the library’s copyright web-pages, or contact the copyright team for help and advice.
