Security & Safety Matters

Security at Aberdeen is given the highest priority and as such is provided by in house teams who are on site 24 hours per day 365 days per year. Security is provided through internal and external building patrols, extensive foot patrols and surveillance of CCTV cameras which are located throughout the Campus.

If you are outside the University you can contact security on:

Please do not leave your office space unlocked and unattended.  If you are working in your office space in evenings and at weekends it is advisable to lock the room from the inside, and to let security know that you are in (this is usually done via a “signing-in book” in each building).  Please call extension 3939 if you see anyone acting suspiciously, or who appears to have no legitimate reason for being in the building (in the interests of personal safety do not approach the individual personally).

In the event of a fire alarm, please leave the building at the nearest available exit.  Do NOT use any lifts.
