Biography: Son of James Burr; born Kemnay, 16 January 1890. M.A., 1911. Private., 3/1st Highland Field Ambulance, R.A.M.C (T.), 5 June 1915. Served with 3rd King’s Own Scottish Borderers, 16th Royal Scots. Home, 1915-17; France, November 1917-April 1918. Final rank, Corporal.
