Biography: Son of George Burnett; born Aberdeen, 24 October 1892. M.A. (II. Eng.), 1920. Enlisted, 1st Highland Field Ambulance, R.A.M.C., January 1913. Mobilized, 4 August 1914. Commissioned, 27 July 1916; attached to 1st Highland Division Train, Army Service Corps; 3/1st Scottish Horse Yeomanry; 1st Yorkshire Regiment; Supply and Transport Corps (I.A.). Served—Home, August 1914-March 1917; Egypt, Gallipolli, India, Afghanistan, September 1915-July 1919. Final rank, Lieutenant.
