Biography: Son of James Brown; born Aberdeen, 8 November 1892. M.B., 1918; Shepherd Mem. Gold medal. O.T.C. Surgeon-Probationer, Royal Navy; Surgeon-Sub-Lieutenant, March 1916. Served—in Destroyers, Scapa Flow; Home; South and East Africa. Final rank, Surgeon-Lieutenant.
