Wishart, John Alexander Anderson

Biography: Son of John Wishart, Dunira, Cults ; born Glasgow, 18 September 1918 ; educated at Aberdeen Central School. He graduated M.A. in 1940. On joining the Army, he served with the Gordon Highlanders till he was commissioned in the King's Regiment. For a time he acted as Instructor at an Infantry Training School, but returned to the Gordon Highlanders early in 1944. He was killed while acting as company commander in Normandy on 26 June 1944.
