Watt, Robert Allan Stewart

Biography: Son of R. W. Watt, Cornhill Road, Aberdeen ; born Aberdeen, 1918 ; educated at Aberdeen Grammar School. He graduated M.B., Ch.B. in 1941 and was for a year on the staff of Woodend Hospital. In 1942 he was commissioned in the Royal Army Medical Corps, and served for a time in East Africa and Madagascar. While in Diego Suarez waiting to join his unit, he volunteered as temporary surgeon on a vessel going to Mauritius. This ship was torpedoed and sunk, and he was officially reported killed in action on 2 July 1943.
