Biography: Son of Charles Edward and Grace Florence Thorpe, of Felixstowe, Suffolk. Chartered Accountant.; born Felixstowe, 3 January 1922 ; educated at Ipswich School and then articled to a Chartered Accountant. He joined the Army in 1939, and later attended the R.A. Cadets' course at the University. He was killed in action in North Africa on 15 January 1943 while serving with a battery.
