Biography: Son of Squadron Leader A. Thomas, Exeter ; born Topsham, Devonshire, 29 December 1923 ; educated at St. Lawrence College, Ramsgate. He entered the Royal Air Force in 1941, and attended a Cadets' course at the University. He saw a good deal of service till 10 November 1944 when he was killed during air operations in North Italy while acting as Observer with a Bomber Squadron.
