Tait, Alastair

Biography: Son of Thomas S. Tait and Bellanna Tait, paper manufacturer, Inverurie ; born Inverurie, 18 January 1900 ; educated at Aberdeen Grammar School. In 1922 he graduated M.B., Ch.B. and in the following year was commissioned in the Indian Medical Service. The outbreak of war brought additional responsibility to him, and shortly before his death he was appointed D.D.M.S., Eastern Command, India. He died of pneumonia in this post on 11 April 1942.
