Souter, Gordon Stewart

Biography: Son of Alexander Souter, Edgehill Terrace, Aberdeen ; born Keith, 7 October 1914 ; educated at Keith Grammar School. He graduated M.A. with Honours in Classics in 1936 and LL.B. in 1939, serving his law apprenticeship with J. Angus, advocate, Aberdeen. As a student he took a leading part in University activities. He was called up in 1940 and trained for special duties with the Royal Air Force. He was posted to the Middle East in 1941 and saw a good deal of service till he took ill and died on 3 November 1944.
