Biography: Son of L. H. Robertson, Moffat ; born Moffat, 1923 ; educated at Loretto School. He joined the Royal Air Force in 1941 and attended a Cadets' course at the University. After training as a pilot he served with Bomber Command. On 21 July 1944 the bomber of which he was captain was brought down by German fighters over Holland. He is buried near Heerde.
