Reid, Peter Sutherland

Biography: Son of Major Peter Reid and Alice Isabella Reid (nee Simpson), Kinbrace, Buckie ; born Buckie, 1922 ; educated at Bede Grammar and Buckie High Schools. He entered the University in 1938 to take a medical course. In 1939 he volunteered for service with the airborne troops. After being trained he saw a good deal of fighting, and it was while holding a position against great odds that he was killed in Italy on 11 September 1943.
