Paterson, Lewis Gordon

Biography: Son of Lewis Gordon Paterson and Jessie Chivas Paterson, Mill Crescent, Buckie ; born Buckie, 21 November 1924 ; educated at Buckie High School. He had completed part of his medical course at the University when he was called up. After preliminary training he was selected for Camberley College, Sandhurst, and posted from there to the Military Academy at Dehra Dun in India. In 1945 he was commissioned in the Gordon Highlanders and attached to the Border Regiment serving in Burma. Here he died of wounds on 10 April 1945.
