Palmer, Alfred Richard Harry

Biography: Son of Arthur Pyatt Palmer and Blanche Eliza Palmer, Nottingham ; born Nottingham, 1923 ; educated at Notts County Grammar School. He entered the Royal Air Force in 1941 and attended the Cadets' course at the University. He saw a good deal of active service before meeting his death on 8 November 1944 when his aircraft came down in the Timor Sea off the coast of North-West Australia.
