Johnston, Alexander Legg

Biography: Son of Alexander J. and Mary A. Johnston, Mill of Allathan, New Deer ; born New Deer, 1923 ; educated at Robert Gordon's College. He joined the University Air Squadron, and when called up continued his training in South Africa where he was commissioned. On 13 September 1944 his aircraft was lost in operations over the Mediterranean, and he was reported missing and presumed killed.
