Biography: Born Aberdeen, 29 October 1895. B.L., 1919; Edmond Prize. Private, Army Service Corps, 24 August 1916. Served with 308th, 314th, Depot Unit of Supply; 1/129th D.C.O., Baluchis. Commissioned, 10 July 1918. Home, 1916; Mesopotamia, October 1916-July 1918; India (North West Frontier), July 1918-April 1919. Final rank, 2nd Lieutenant.
