Final rank, Chaplain (Colonel). Thanked by Secretary of State for valuable services, March 1918. War work - Recruiting (4th Gordon Highlanders, 157th Brigade, Royal Field Artillery). Member, County of Aberdeen Territorial Force Association, University Military Education Committee; Honorary Chaplain, 1st Cadet Battalion 4th Gordon Highlanders.
