District of Scotland; Member of Council and of War Executive Scottish Branch, British Red Cross Society; Officer in command of Auxiliary Hospitals in North of Scotland; Surgeon in command of Naval Wards, Aberdeen. Appointed by Admiralty, Consulting-Surgeon, R.N. Area, Montrose to Elgin, 1915-1919. Member, University Military Education Committee and Joint Institutional Committee for Scotland; Honorary M.O., Orthopaedic Annexe, Aberdeen. M.V.O., 1905. T.D., 1910. C.B.E., 1918. Knight of Grace, Order of St. John of Jerusalem in England, 1918.
