Biography: Son of William Adam; born Banchory, 17 April 1879. M.A., 1900; B.L., 1902. Commanded, 7th Gordon Highlanders, 1 April 1910; mobilized, 4 August 1914. Served - France, 1 May 1915-9 October 1918. Final rank, Acting Major. Military Cross. Two mentions, 1916, 1917.
