Biography: Son of John Munro; born Sunbury-on-Thames, 26 May 1882. M.A., 1904; B.Sc., 1906. "U" Company, 1st Volunteer Battalion Gordon Highlanders, 1900-03. Private, 16th (S.) Battalion Middlesex Regiment, 17 September 1914; 14th Highland Light Infantry; commissioned, 7 July 1916. Served-Home, 1914-15, 1916, 1918-19; France, November 1915-April 1916, September 1916-February 1918. Final rank, Acting Captain.
