Biography: Son of Alexander Mowat; born Latheron, 23 October 1868. M.B., 1895. Captain, R.A.M.C. (T.F.), attached to 1st Highland Mounted Brigade Field Ambulance, 1914. Final rank, Major. Name brought to notice of Secretary of State for War, 1917.
