Biography: Son of James Mitchell; born Fraserburgh, 24 August 1884. M.B., 1907; M.D., 1911. Lieutenant, R.A.M.C., 19 September 1914. Served-Home, 3 months; France, 5 months; India, 9 months; Mesopotamia, 3 years Final rank, Captain. Order of the British Empire. Four mentions in despatches, May 1915, May, August 1918, March 1919.
