Biography: Son of Thomas Milne; born Accrington, 24 February 1882. Arts, 1898-99. Joined LA., 55th (Coke's) Rifles Mobilized. Served-Mahsud Expedition, 1917; Palestine. Final rank, Major. Distinguished Service Order, Order of the Nile. Two mentions in despatches.
