Biography: Son of Alexander Milne; born Turriff, 24 February 1895. M.A., 1919; B.Sc. (Agr.), 1921. Enlisted, "U" Company, 4th Gordon Highlanders, January 1914. Mobilized, 5 August 1914. Attached 6th Yorkshire transferred Royal Army Service Corps, Served-Home, 1914-15, 1918-19; France, February 1915-January 1918. Final rank, Corporal. Military Medal, December 1917.
