Biography: Son of James Milne; born Fraserburgh, 10 March 1889. Law, 1912-14. Private, Inns of Court Officer Training Corps, 23 December 1915; commissioned, 3rd Gordon Highlanders, 18 December 1916; attached, 6th Gordon Highlanders Served-Home, 1915-17, 1917-19; France, February-April 1917, April-September 1918. Final rank, Acting Captain. Military Cross, October 1918.
