Biography: Son of George Milne; born Cornhill, Banffshire, 14 March 1883. M.A. (II Classics), 1905. Gunner, Royal Garrison Artillery, March 1917; commissioned, May 1919. Served-Palestine, France, August 1917-August 1918. Final rank, 2nd Lieutenant. Military Medal, 1918.
