Biography: Son of James Middleton; born Peterhead, 23 January 1896. Medicine, "1914-15. 2nd Lieutenant, 5th Gordon Highlanders, December 1915. Served-Home, 1915-16; France, July-November 1916. Resigned on account of health. Final rank, 2nd Lieutenant.
