Biography: Son of Robert McLellan; born Brechin, 29 November 1893. M.A. (I History), 1916. Enlisted, U Company., 4th Gordon Highlanders, 1912. Mobilized. Commissioned, 5th Seaforth Highlanders, January 1917. Served-France, February-September 1915; German East Africa, April 1917-May 1918. Discharged, medically unfit, March 1919. Final rank, Lieutenant.
