Private, 3/4th Gordon Highlanders, 30 March 1915 ; commissioned, 11th Gordon Highlanders, 30 April 1915 ; attached 1st Gordon Highlanders Served-Home, 1915; Flanders, September 1915-April 1916. Severely wounded, 1916. Discharged, 1918. Final rank, 2nd Lieutenant.
