Biography: Son of Murdo MacIver; born Stornoway, 9 August 1892. M.A., 1919. Joined North of Scotland Royal Garrison Artillery (T.F.) (later Ross-shire Mountain Battery), 1909; transferred to 4th Gordon Highlanders, 1912. Mobilized, 1914. Commissioned, 17 November 1917 ; attached Chinese Labour Corps Served-France, Belgium, 1 year 9 months; Home, 2 years 9 months. Final rank, 2nd Lieutenant.
