Biography: Son of John M.; born Mortlach, Banffshire, 13 September 1854. M.B., 1882 ; M.D., 1892. Enlisted, New Zealand Medical Corps, 16 March 1916; commissioned, 11 July 1916. Served-H.M.N.Z. Transports, Hospitals in England, Medical Boards, 1 year 9 months. Final rank, Lieutenant-Colonel. Specially thanked for excellent services, 30 December 1918.
