Biography: Son of Francis W. Stuart; born Gartly, 21 July 1885. M.B., 1909; Ch.M., 1913; M.D., 1914. Lieutenant, R.A.M.C., 7 August 1916; attached to Bramshott Military Hospital, Cambridge Hospital, Aldershot, 2/3rd Midland Field Ambulance, (Surgeon in charge) Surgical team, Casualty Clearing Station Served-Home, 1916; France, Germany, November 1916-February 1919. Final rank, Captain.
