Biography: Son of William F. Stewart; born Rathven, Banffshire, 14 May 1871. M.A., 1891. Private, 14th Argyll and Seaforth Highlanders, 15 June 1915. Served-Home, 1915-16; France, May-October 1916. Commissioned, Royal Army Chaplains' Department, 12 October 1916. Served-Home, 1916-17; Egypt, Palestine, July 1917-August 1918. Final rank, Chaplain to the Forces, 4th Class.
