Biography: Son of James Spark; born Torphins, 17 September 1888. Science, 1905-07. Trooper, Scottish Horse, 7 September 1914; 13th Black Watch. Served-Home, 1914-15; Gallipoli, Egypt, Salonika, France, August 1915-November 1918. Final rank, Sergeant. Military Medal.
