Biography: Son of Roberts Spark; born Durris, 5 December 1898. Medicine, 1916-17, 1919-. A.U.O.T.C., 1916-17. Private, Gordon Highlanders, August 1917; No. 2 Artillery Cadet School, Exeter. Commissioned, "L" Battery, Reserve Heavy Artillery (Res.), December 1917; attached to 30th Division Royal Field Artillery. Served-Home, 1918; France, Belgium, April -December 1918. Final rank, 2nd Lieutenant.
