Biography: Son of Andrew Soutter; born Echt, Aberdeenshire, 1 January 1885. M.A., 1910. Commissioned, Royal Army Chaplains' Department, 4 August 1914. Served-British East Africa, 1914-16; France, attached 2nd Cavalry Division, Royal Scots Greys, General Head Quarters, March 1918-September 1919. Final rank, Chaplain, 4th Class. Mentioned in despatches, April 1916.
