Biography: Son of Alexander Souter; born Monymusk, 22 June 1880. M.A., 1903. 1st Volunteer Battalion Gordon Highlanders, 1917-18. Private, Inns of Court Officer Training Corps, September 1918; Gunner, Royal Garrison Artillery, October 1918; commissioned, January 1919. Home service.
