Biography: Son of John T. Sorley; born Aberdeen, 5 August 1899. M.A., 1921; Medicine, 1919-. Enlisted, Royal Flying Corps, later R.A.F., August 1917. Commissioned, 1 February 1918. Served-Home, 1917-18; France, July-October 1918; Prisoner of War, October - December 1918. Final rank, 2nd Lieutenant.
