Biography: Son of Robert Slessor; born Methlick, 27 July 1879. M.A., 1899. 2nd Lieutenant, 4th Gordon Highlanders (T.F.), 20 November 1915; attached 7th (Service) Battalion, North Staffs. Served-Home, 1915-16, 1917; France, August - November 1916; India, Mesopotamia, Persia, South Russia, January 1918-April 1919. Final rank, Acting Captain.
