Biography: Son of Charles W. Sleigh; born Lesmahagow, 21 January 1897. M.B., 1918. A.U.O.T.C., 1913-15. Surgeon-Probationer, Royal Naval Voluntary Reserve, 4 December 1915-17. Demobilized to finish medical studies. Surgeon-Lieutenant, Royal Navy, 9 August 1918. Served-Atlantic Ocean, Royal Navy Hospital Portsmouth, France, Belgium, Germany, China, 2½ years. Final rank, Surgeon-Lieutenant.
