Biography: Son of George Sinclair; born Aberdeen, 28 February 1880. M.A., 1902 ; B.L., 1905. Private, U Company, 1st Volunteer Battalion Gordon Highlanders, 1898-1902. Commissioned, 4th Gordon Highlanders., 30 July 1915. Served- Home, 2 years; France, June 1916-September. 1917, November 1918-August 1919. Final rank, Captain. Military Cross, November 1916. Bar to Military Cross, September 1917. Mentioned in despatches, April 1917.
