Biography: Son of Thomas Simpson; born Nairn, 14 January 1894. B.Sc. (Agr.),1914. Private, 9th Seaforth Highlanders, 5 Oct. 1914. Served with R.A.M.C.; attached to Royal Engineers, Gordon Highlanders Commissioned, 25 January 1917. Served-Home, 1914-15, 1917-19; France, September 1915-October 1917. Final rank, Lieutenant.
