Simpson, Colin Finlayson
Biography: Son of James Simpson; born Fraserburgh, 15 November 1885, M.A., 1906; M.B. (Honours), 1910. Matthews Duncan, Keith, Gold Medals. Professor, Medical College, Mukden, Manchuria, 1912. On outbreak of War, unable to reach Britain, accepted appointment under Russian Red Cross as Lieutenant-Colonel, attached to 3rd Army Colonel (M.O.), 8th and 9th Army in the Carpathians. Served-Russia, 1914-19. Order of Vladimir with swords.
