Biography: Son of Donald Shiach; born Laurencekirk, 17 January 1889. M.A., 1911. U Company, 4th Gordon Highlanders, 1909. Private, 3/6th Gordon Highlanders, 18 May 1915 ; 1/6th Gordon Highlanders Commissioned, 8th Black Watch, 27 June 1917. Served-Home, 1915-16, 1917; France, Germany, September 1916-January 1917, October 1917-January 1919. Final rank, Lieutenant. Military Cross, 1918.
