Biography: Son of John Scatterty; born Kennethmont, 8 January 1860 M.A., 1881; M.B., 1886; M.D., 1895. Captain, R.A.M.C., 17 June 1915. Home service, War and Auxiliary Hospitals, Yorkshire, 4½ years. Final rank, Lieutenant-Colonel. Two mentions in despatches, September 1917, August 1919.
