Private, Highland Volunteer Brigade, Royal Garrison Artillery Edinburgh University Officers Training Corps, Royal Field Artillery Commissioned, Heavy Artillery, Royal Garrison Artillery, November 1914. Served-Home, 1914-15; France, November 1915-May 1916. Final rank, 2nd Lieutenant.
