Biography: Son of Robert M. Williamson; born Aberdeen, 18 July 1899. M.A., 1920. Edinburgh University Officer Training Corps, 1917; 22 (G.) O.C.B., 1918. Commissioned, 1st (Reserve) Garrison Battalion, Highland Light Infantry. Served with 3rd Battalion Highland Light Infantry. Home service, 1918-19. Final rank, 2nd Lieutenant.
