Biography: Son of John Williamson; born Aberdeen, 30 August 1884. M.A., 1905; M.B., 1909; M.D., 1911; D.P.H. (Camb.), 1913. Private, U Company, 1st Volunteer Battalion Gordon Highlanders, 1902. Commissioned, R.A.M.C., 1911. Mobilized, 4 August 1914. Attached to 1st Highland Field Ambulance, 4th London Field Ambulance Served-Home, 1914-15; France, Belgium, March 1915-February 1919. Final rank, Acting Lieutenant-Colonel. Distinguished Service Order, 3 June 1918. Two mentions in despatches, April 1917, April 1918.
