Biography: Son of Edward Westerman; born Kirkstall, 28 February 1878. M.B (Hons.), 1900; M.D. (com.), 1904; Thompson Travelling Fellow. Lieutenant, R.A.M.C., 1917. Aural Specialist, attached to Cambridge Hospital, Aldershot, 2 years. Final rank, Captain.
